View Full Version : ocular rosecea
From everything I have read recently I may be experiencing ocular rosacea. My question is can the visual changes be reversed? My vision has been changing markedly over the last two years, and with the other symptoms included I'm thinking it may not be just old age (I'm 47) but changes related to rosacea. Should I see the dermatologist or the opthmalogist for this?

You need to see an opthomologist ASAP. It may well be a combination of things going on, i.e. ocular rosacea coupled with deteriorating eyesight due to age. As soon as I turned 40 I needed to go get reading glasses and they told me after 40 eyes often go downhill fast. But there could be even more serious things going on so do go get it checked out.

Update: I did see an opthamologist who determined that I have both meibomitis and blepharititis and started me on an eye care regime which includes eye scrubs, a short course of antibiotic/steroid eye drops, and artificial tears. I appreciate the input and the resources listed. Thank you
Try doxycycline, 100mg daily for 3-8 months can do a lot to ocular rosacea. Start at 200mg for 10-20 days, then it will work much better
