View Full Version : Anyone else been to the Bodylaser clinic in Cambridge uk?
I had around four laser treatments a couple of months ago using their Genesis laser; http://www.bodylaser.co.uk/genisisskinrejuvenation.html and was very happy because of the price and reduced flushing.
I know there were two other people who went there that visited the internet boards and i just wondered if they were on here?
My query is; they use a wand and keep it away from the face and kind of move it back and forth for an alloted amount of time, is this normal for all genesis treatments?

Hi Sally_ann,
Sorry i know this doesn't answer your question, but do you know if this is the Genesis 1064 YAG that is gathering a very good reputation?
i live in the uk and after not having much success with IPL to treat my vascular rosacea (i have very severe flushing and telangiectasia) i'm looking for alternative treatments. You said you had some success with this, just wondering if you had visible vessels which it destroyed. The non-invasiveness of the treatment makes me think not. The site descibed it as:
laser is able to gently heat the upper dermis layer in the skin
I'm not sure if this would actually destroy any of my many visible vessels.
Cheers,
Spav
I have absolutely no idea! I just like it as i can afford it lol! I wonder whether Dr Nase would have the time to have a quick look at the website and see if he can determine what laser it is
I believe it is a coolglide vantage when used for hair removal but then a genesis when its used for rejuvenation or something :?:

Hi, i went there a few weeks ago and was impressed with the treatment. It is very affordable, 100 quid, very comfortable and very little down time, possibly an hour maxs.
Since having it done my skin has shown improvement however its one of those things that could be down to others and i have noticed my skin getting bad again.
I have been to Dr Patterson and feel that this has worked slightly but it was too expensive, difficult to get a suitable appointment (he does not work half terms and i'm a teacher), painful and quyite a lot of downtime. However somebody on here has said that he now has a new laser which is very good.
I'm going back to bodylaser next week so i will let you know.
Regards, Chris
oooh nice one Chris! Bev is lovely isn't she?
I emailed last week to sort out making an appnt and then found myself unemployed so i really can't afford to throw £100 around at the mo. However i am with you on the fact that it seems to be a nice treatment that is affordable! And to be honest at that price you could treat it as a monthly thing if it keeps on top of the flushing, at least thats how i view it.
Are you the person Bev said was using Nioxin to induce a flush? I got some last week but its a little scary at how red it makes yr skin! I am not actually sure what sort of laser they use at bodylaser, i think its a YAG but i'm not sure if its the YAG that Dr Nase talks about.
I really, really like Dr Patterson, he is a very kind and thoughtful man, i just can't afford the treatment. its as easy as that.

Hi sally, I'm considering giving this a go in a few weeks..can you give me any more info on it? Like how bad was your flushing, and did it improve after this treatment? And how long did the result last?
It's either this, vbeam or Dr. Patterson (belfast) for me; I was under the impression that YAG had the longest-lasting effect, that's why I was gonna go for it. Only problem is, I'm living in ireland so I'll have to travel over.. :(
Goodness muzzle don't travel all that way!! I think that would be silly.
If i had the money i would go for Patterson everytime, honestly! I only go to this one because its nearer and more affordable but the txs i had with patterson were much more effective so definitely go the the Belfast clinic x

Defo, Dr P knows exactly what he's doing. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. :D
