Hi i'm a 29 y/o , red faced male from London. I've been fighting this for 5 years and have not made any real progress. TRied a few things and like lasers and they have worked for awhile but then its started to get bad again. I can't wait until the day that this can be conqured for good as it seriously affects my confidence.

Currently going through a bad patch after having a month or so of good skin!

Anyhow rant over.

Regards, Chris

Hi

Im 26 and from the UK - near Sheffield.

Is anyone currently on roaccutane?

My dermatologist has recommended I try a low dose - would be very interested to hear if anyone else is on this and what their experience has been.

Many thanks.

Hi Scrumptious,

I have had about 4 treatments at the Woodford medical centre and saw some improvement at the time. One of my main problems is that i could not make it at regular interval or afford it. This may have had an effect. I have also had a couple of treatments at the Bodylaser centre in Cambridge. THis were ok and i did notice some difference. I am now however experiencing quite a bad time ( this sometimes happens to me, 2 or 3 weeks of bad flushing and reddness) and have now noticed what may be the first signs of rhinophyma on the right side of my nose!

Getting to a point now where i'm not sure what my next option is. I will try and arrange to see Dr Crouch i think as i have heard good things and reckon that the protocols he is using could be beneficial. I am also trying to find a good derm as i suffer from seb dem and am looking to get this under control.

Hiya all I'm 26 and in Manchester, nice to meet you:). I'm glad I've come across this forum as I feel I'm not alone with my skin complaint it's nice to share views and advice with people in the same boat as you. I'm quite new to Rosacea as I've recently been diagnosed but suspected I had it for a little while.

I'm going to have a test patch in Pulsed Dye laser and would be interested to know if anyone has had this treatment and what they thought of it (it's scary). Do you really need to take a fortnight off work after its's done? each time? My dermatologist said I'd need about 6 treatments over 1-2 yrs. Could I just cover up the bruising with extra thick make up?

Many thanks in advance for your replies

xxx

Hello, Im from the UK too, seems like there are a fair few Brits here! I live near Manchester, and I'm 22. I have suffererd since about 14 I think. From about 18-22 it kind of went away abit, or a least, I forgot about and lived a reasonable "normal" life. This winter it has seemed to flare up quite badly, and I've begun to think about it a lot more, which is downward spiral.

Hello

I'm 24, female and living in Cambridgeshire.

When I first posted to the forums, I thought everyone lived in USA or foreign countries, so it's nice to know there are people in here closer to home :)

Although I feel alone with rosacea, I don't feel so alone now :D

It's warming to know that there are UK Rosaceans that we can share with - it would be interesting to see what you are being prescribed currently - I'm on Oxytetracycline and loads of health supplements, burdock root, zinc, evening primrose oil, milk thistle, vitamin B's.

Got to admit, I exercise a lot - the p&p's haven't got any worse since I've been taking the Oxy (Dec 09) do flush and my diet is very controlled - but love a drink and this is predominantly gin and tonic with a slice of cucumber (can't have citrus fruits so no lemon or lime) can't have grapes so no longer a wine drinker.

Oh - I live 2 miles from the Cannock Chase
