How long has it been since your first IPL?

There has been some talk about Oil of Oregano helping with red nose.
I've personally just started taking it to see if it will help.

Shaun, IPl has to be seen as a course of treatment. Few people ever report results after the first IPL. I am on my 3rd and there is the possibility that I am just starting to see some results. Do not be disheartened that the results differ from what you thought, this is an early stage. The first treatment, I feel is to assess the strength to which you are treated. A derm on the first apointment will not treat you with a high level dose of laser, he will need to learn how your skin will react in terms of temporary side effects e.t.c

Shaun, please see my posts on the thread "Does Accutane destroy sebaceous glands permanently?" I think that herb would help you, although I am not sure if CODEX prevents you from getting over the counter herbs in the UK that we can still get here in America. They are trying to take away our right to get OTC supplements here, too.

Hi everyone ,does any UK member know of a DERM DR who os willing to let me have some low dose accutane .
the one i saw private was local to me and he was a disgrace ,with a could not care less attitude, i felt worse when i saw him than before
my nose continues to swell and the burning i s always with me.
one funny thing ,my daughter got married on Sunday and i had a bit to drink ,my burning became less the more i drank .
So for once i was out and not had the pain of the burning ,back in the morning alas .

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the swelling and burning to go down after you start taking Accutne?
I have to waite 6 months to see my derm at the hospital (waiting list a joke ).
I purchased some Accutne off the net and have been taking it for about a month the oily skin on my nose as dried up a lot but the swelling and burning are still there.
My family tree tells me i will end up with Rhymopia that for me will be the end .
as anyone after taking Accutane had the burning ease and swelling go down and how long did it take ?
Dr Nase i know you have major problems ahead of you but please i need some reasurance that my lifr will improve
thanks Shaun

Hi shaun!

I had a great deal of success with accutane! Unfortunately, my prescribing dr. wasnt comfortable handling my maintenance so he sent me to a "specialist" who immediately took me off accutane. His assistant told me at a later visit that they dont like to prescribe accutane because its very costly for the insurance companies and they need to find something else that works for me. SO FAR: minicycline (severe allergic reaction) now im on Diocycline for 3 weeks and thats not working at all. I needed more time on accutane! :-( going to see a new dr. in a couple of weeks... my fifth specialist in 2 years. best of luck - liz

by the way, here is a pic of me taken 2 nights ago. Now my nose is much worse...! :-)
