Is it still recommended that you take a high dosage of moxonidine (0.6mgs) for two weeks after an IPL treatment? I would like to also take ester c and pycnogenol during this period and beyond.
Great to see this new site up and running - it gives us all hope for the future.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

I take this high dosis of moxonidine now for over a year and it has helped me greatly. Before I started it I was so inflamed and flushed and after it I stayed pale a lot. Unfortunately a bad IPL treatments in januari this year worsened my rosacea, but still the moxonidine is a life safer, so to speak.
I would highly recommend it after your IPL treatments. One tablet every 8 hours, but I even take them every 6 hours (have my bloodpressure meassured, it's ok, a bit low, but not too low). This, because it stays much shorter in your bloodstream as clonidine for instance.
It prevents you from getting too red, which is bad after IPL.
