They are very gentle/soothing but can be suffocating/occlusive. (Acne prones for example might experience a breakout. It's not a for sure thing, of course!)
I like Clinique MSE for men, and DDF's Ultra Lite Oil Free Moisturizing Dew, but prefer MSE.
If something says 'for sensitive skin' I never believe it anyway. lol

I've had no problems with dimethicone. I'm female and it makes my mineral makeup go on beautifully.
Good luck!

I've used a dimethicone based product called Barrier Repair from Dermalogica. It's expensive, but you use so little that it lasts forever. I wear it under mineral makeup everyday and only have to buy about one tube a year.
Any spa that carries the line should also be willing to give you a sample packet to try. But if not, make sure they will take it back if it doesn't work for you. Mine takes back any product I wish to return, no questions asked.

There have been many great and soothing results posted by members using Complex 15 Therapeutic Moisturising Lotion. They also make a face cream, but Geoffrey says that this is one of those rare instances where the lotion is better tolerated by rosaceans rather than the face cream. These products contain dimethicone.
