I've narrowed down what I can and cannot have. (it's been a few months since I've signed in here) I was formally diagnosed with this awful and humiliating skin disease last November. I was prescribed Metro Cream (for dry skin). I thought, yippee! I went to pick up the Rx and almost fell over with the price. That is a big no-no. No more chocolate, either which is a sad and terrible thing. The biggest surprise that came out of this, is drinking whole milk. I used to drink 2% but apparently that didn't help. So after discovering whole milk is a miracle for my skin, I drink 1 to 2 glasses daily. It's kept my skin from breaking out. My skin is pink instead of RED but to me Needless to say I couldn't afford it and the insurance I had didn't cover one dime. It wasn't on their "list". So I've had to take care of my skin on my own. After many experiments, I had changed my make-up first. I use Physicians Formula Mineral based foundation. Talk about helping with clearing the skin. I can't have coffee anymore, including decaf. Something about the coffee bean itself. I guess you can say I can't have anything with caffeine. that's a plus. Easily hidden under my make-up. It's great to see my skin without those horrible bumps and no itching. So are there any of you out there that have done the same? Experimented to get your skin at least balanced just a little? It took me almost 4 years.
Thanks for listening...

Intersesting about the milk. I don't tolerate caffiene well at all at the moment, never have I suppose and had jacked it completely at one point and also as a quest to cut down dairy in the diet as in hot drinks was mainly where I used it, but I have made a recent discovery that I can have a very weak cappuccino made mainly with frothy milk and it doesn't upset my stomach or skin. I think the milk helps counter balance the acidity of the coffee. I only have one a day on lunchbreak, a nearby coffee shop makes it specially weak for me. It's a nice treat as I can't have anything much without consequence at the moment.
