I currently use Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream for my dry skin. I'm thinking of switching. Has anyone tried Cerave Moisturizing Cream? If so, what were the results. I have very sensitive skin so I'm hoping Cerave fits the bill.

I like and use both CeraVe and Eucerin original moisturisers.
I recommend them for sensitive irritated skin. It helps calm my skin.
Try a small area of your face first to make sure you don't experience any adverse reactions.

I second her comments about CeraVe. I switched from Cetaphil to CeraVe and I don't ever see myself leaving CeraVe. It is seriously AWESOME. You can apply it to your face and 10 minutes later its as if you never put anything on your skin. Being a male this is great as I'm not crazy about spending the extra time after a shower putting anything on my face. It's worth it and now part of my daily skincare regimen.

CeraVe is a wonderful cream, indeed. It helped restore my hands' skin barrier. I wish I could use it on my face (I too have very sensitive skin) but, unfortunately, after a week or so of daily use it began to make my facial skin break out. I keep using it on my hands and, every now and then, I'll try it on my face, hoping that I won't break out, but I still do. :(

I'd say give it a try.

I had a terrible experience with it (their cream and lotion)- broke me out in tons of tiny bumps and irritated my skin.

Like Melissa suggested- I would do a small patch test first before using it on the whole face.

Cerave also makes my skin sting and burn I know so many people really like it, but it doesn't work for me. I have combination skin. Cetaphil cream is also the worst thing for me. If you don't have a problem with it you might really like the cerave. For me anything that is really thick is very irritating. I use toleraine fluid for oily to combination skin. Very simple light lotion. If you have dry skin though this might not work for you. Defenitely do a patch test!

We are all so different that there is just no universal anything that works for us all unfortunately. That's why trial and error is the only way to see what works for each of us and it is always a good idea to test any new product on a small area of your face first. Only problem is sometimes there is not an immediate bad reaction and it is delayed a bit so a patch test is no guarantee unless you do it for a couple of weeks before applying a new product to your whole face. I think it is very hard to have that type of patience but that is the best way to test a new product.

I haven't tried cerave or eucerin original yet, but thinking about trying them soon. I have very reactive skin.
Melissa is so right about taking it slow and that you may have a delayed reaction. I tried the Toleriane fluide and it was great for about 10 days...it is very light . And, then one evening I put it on prior to going to bed and it burned like crazy. I had to get up and wash it off. I didn't use it for a few days and when I tried it again the same burning and prickly feeling. Maybe it was the squalene which is in all their toleriane moisturizers...drats. I thought I had finally found a moisturizer that would work for me. I have since read at makeupalley that others have felt this burning feeling too and think it is the squalene.
