So I finally convinced my husband to "let" me get the Clarisonic face brush (I hate that I have to depend on him for everything financial!). I had to say it was my combo Mother's Day/early birthday/"Bush Bucks"! Thank you, George Bush, for the extra cash. I will stimulate the economy for the sake of my face!!
Now, let's just hope it doesn't send my face into some ranging fiery explosion! I have the sensitive brush, but ordered the delicate one. Of course I know I won't be able to wait until the delicate one gets here, so I'm gong to try the sensitive one tonight, on low, for one minute.
Fingers crossed! I'll update as I move along!

Boo2,
I am keenly interested in your results with the Clarisonic. I guarantee if you had greeted your husband in that hat outfit I suggested, I don't think you would have to ask for presents!laugh:
But hey, that's just my opinion. In my family, my wife gives me an allowance so what the hell do I know?
Again, very interested in the clairsonic. Keep us posted as my wife and I are interested in purchasing one for the shower. The couple that scrubs together stays together!wink1:

Ha! I was thinking it before I saw you typed it!!! Too funny.
I'll definitely keep you posted. Hubby was laughing when he walked in the bathroom tonight and saw it charging. We *just* had the conversation about it last night. I had to remind him who he was dealing with. I had it bought it my mind a couple months ago, so getting it in my hands was just a matter of schleping the kids off to the mall to get that sucker once I got the go-ahead!
I used the sensitive brush tonight. My cheeks, nose and forehead feel so smooth and soft. The dermatitis areas are still a little rough (they're more on my jawline), but feel okay. I had to pull out the Elidel b/c I'm having a flare up (I think the emu oil was no-good for me, trying a drop of jojoba in my moisturizer now). Once all is calm I'm going to try Born to Be Mild b/c I really think there is some seb derm connection, even though my derm won't commit to it.
Fingers crossed! I hope the delicate head gets here soon. I think that will be better for me, but the sensitive brush was okay- at least for tonight!

Oh yeah, and the new hat got a thumbs up, I think even a "that looks cute"- and I even had my clothes on!

laugh:- funny stuff Boo2. Always enjoy your posts! Is the clarisonic whaterproof? Who knows what kind of crazy "scrubbing" I can attempt with the old lady in the shower!laugh:
I have the Born to be Mild. I would urge some caution with it. I generally like it but on a crazy, "more is better" idea one night, I let it soak on my face much like people rec. a dandruff shampoo sit on one's head. Holy crap did it leave me red. Some very unhappy skin. That was defnitely an error in judgement on my part.
That said, used sparingly, it does a pretty nice job of de-flaking my trouble spots (nose and an odd patch on my jawline). But again, for me, my skin did not enjoy a long (3 minute) soaking at all.
So, start slowly would be my advice and use conservatively.
All the best,
Rob

Thanks for the tip! Sephora only had one sample left so I'm going to have to use it sparingly anyway, if I want to get more than one use out of it! I can't let anything sit on my face anyway, so I figured I'd try it when I'm not using the Clarisonic.
The Clarisonic is waterproof, so it can be used in the shower shower: (just had to throw that one in there!). Just can't be charged in the shower- DUH!!! They actually put that in the info (well that the charger can't be submerged in water). A) Who has an electrical outlet IN their shower, and B) Who is stupid enough to think you can do that? I guess someone out there since they found it necessary to put it in their info. It also says people with heightened skin allergies should use it (that's ME) so I guess there are some idiots out there!
I used it again today, with the sensitive head and my Cetaphil cleanser. Still doing okay. They don't lie when they say it helps your skin absorb your products better. I used half as much CeraVe this morning as I ususally do and I still feel like I have to much moisturizer on. Pretty cool!
Don't worry, I won't give daily updates! Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't bite me in the butt and give me Angry Face. wacko:
