Hey :)!!
i live in israel
my name is "Or" (and yes i know it sounds strange =] , but, the meaning in Hebrew is "light").
i have Rosacea about 8 years.
I have facial redness, flushing and burning in both cheeks.
My Rosacea really took my adolescence to somewhere i don't wish any of you.
I developed "Social Phobia" over the years.
i must to say the must anoying thing is the pain from burning when it flares up.
By the way, i tried a lot of treatmint including vitamins, Azalic Acid, Metronidezole 1% and more cosmetic product and all doesn't seem to work at all.
in a month a go i did some treatment what called Photodynamic.

i did Photodynamic (ALA) what actived by Red light 635 nm (Omnliux)-machine.
i paid 700$ in Israel for my first treatment.
The treatment was in the end January 08' and i had side effects for only 1 week, include: redness, scaling and sweeling etc.
after only 1 week i saw reduces in the flushing and burning.
after 2 weeks was awsome about 60 precent improvement in Redness, flushing and burning.
it is amazing i can go now out to public areas without wearing makeup or something else.
i am considering 1 more treatment becasue i am very happy with the resault.

any way i hope i will improve my rosacea more than that.

i'm glad i found this forum , all the poeple here looks so nicely, intelligent , helpful and friendly.
it makes you feel better about yourself.

:)

Welcome to the Forum Hasson!
We have another member from Israel (Moka/Yael).

That is great that this Photodynamic therapy with Omnilux red light helped you. I don't know anything about this procedure. How long ago did you have it and do you need to have touch ups?

Anyway we are glad you are here and hope you find useful info and support on the Forum.

Best wishes,
Melissa

Hi and welcome!

You are very right about the people on this forum. They are helpful and encouraging. It sounds like we have similar types of Rosacea and I'm glad to hear that you found something that works for you.

Keep us updated on your progress,

Andrea

My skin condition before the treatment was permanent redness with flushing and burning senstaion but i didn't have acne etc.
i did the treatment 1 month ago. The procedue was that the ALA need to stay for 4 hours with a mask (yes i know it very long but this is the procedure were i did it), it didn't aggravite my skin at all. after 4 hours i were 30 min under the red light Omnilux light (it was a very strange amotion , like the face is melting).
i can say first i didn't believe the treatment will help, but i actually wrong.
