Looks good. Will take a bit to find my posts to see responses, etc. I think with this change my pic is now able to work.

Where is the beloved "Posts Since Last Visit" link?
This link is so precious to me :)

Hi fut, there's a "New Posts" and "New Posts to All Rosacea Groups" links at the top.
I have to admit to being a creature of habit and will miss that link too. This new layout seems to have tinier text. Could just be my old eyes though.
Hmmm, not so many smilies this time around. So I'll keep the emoting to a minimum then!

I am not loving the new green faced smiley. It seems deranged somehow LOL
I know Warren is not a fan of the emoticon so perhaps this is his way of getting us to use them less....

I didn't put it in the right place either!
I think it strange that a forum which deals with something that affects people so emotionally as rosacea does would eschew the use of emoticons.

I miss my friendly little smiling face icon. He was always so cheerful and it made me feel better jsut having him around LOL. Now we have the green leery eyed big toothed one. :(

You can copy and paste this and make it an image:
http: //www.anniroc.com/hug.gif
(just remove the space between : and //)
it becomes this:
http://www.anniroc.com/hug.gif
Whoa, no Image coding button! So you'll need to add --- to the paste. This new software also automatically adds [url] to a URL address, something to watch for in this case.
There is an attachment button though, so this will be a benefit to many I think (quite limited size though).
No text formating that I can see.
Hate the rating feature. That's out of place on a support forum!

Hi Corinna,
That's complicated for a technologically challenged individual like myself. I really am quite awful with computer skills and such. I did post to Warren in the mods section also about the rating feature. Maybe he will agree and disable it.
Warren,
I just want you to know that I do appreciate all that you have done and continue to do. I realize after reading my posts that it may seem as if I am unappreciative and nothing could be further from the truth.
There are just a few things to be worked out in the new forum as would be expected with such a big change as this one. So I hope you don't take this as criticism. It's just a matter of getting used to and working out the questions we are all bound to have ...well, at least that I am bound to have :)
Thanks!
Melissa

You need to removed the [URL] that the new forum software automatically puts around the URL. See below.

I would hope that Warren is open to and expects us to have feedback and doesn't take any of this as an indication of disrespect! None is intended at all.

It freaks me out, I am so bad at adapting to changes! But it does look and work a lot better, I must admit.
Good work! :)

Ive mentioned this in the other thread in meta but for those that havent read it...
It appears that you there are many other options when posting a message available (ie smilies) you just have to amend your settings. Click on the User CP button at the top of the page. Go to edit options and scroll to the bottom of the page. The last option changes what you see when you go to reply to a thread. If you change that from basic to either enhanced or standard then it is more like the old forum with smilies and everything:D

Ah, that's what I was looking for... thanks Sarah.
Warren, I have 2 requests:
Can the maximum size for PDF attachments be raised from the current 19.5 Kb
Can .PPT and .PPTX be added as attachable filetypes? And 1 question:
Is there a YouTube or flash option? I know it didn't get used all that much in the old forum, but it's just so cool.

Can I get some opinions on:
What smilies to remove from the current forum? and
What similes do you use and want higher up on the list?
What smilies do you want added to the forum?
If you want to look at the old forum it can be viewed at http://rosaceagroup.org/oldforum

Hi Warren,
Can we get the old smiley back from the previous RF that was called very happy? http://www.rosaceagroup.org/oldforum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif (http://javascript<b></b>:emoticon(':D'))
Also, I like the hug emoticon that Corinna uses.

Thanks,
Melissa
PS Can we get the messages from our savebox from the old forum put in the new forum messages? I think you added the saved private messages to the general PM's. Is there a way to put the saved ones from the old forum into a saved PM category in the new forum automatically without having to go through all of them? Thanks again.
