I was reading on the internet that someone put metrocream on her eyelids!! Her eye Dr. told her she could because it is for inflammation. Has anyone done this? Jenn

All the time. It helps alot. Just not close to the openings. I apply vaseline to the eyelash area first.

really??? My derm told me I could not put this near my eyes, but of course she told me alot of other things that were wrong..lol. So why do you put it on your eyes Corrina, do you have O.R.? So this helps with the inflammation, (swelling) of eyelids? Thanks..Jenn

I just put a little on lids and it seems to not bother them. I used the noritate though, is that ok? Also it does say on here not for ophthalmic use?? Jenn

Jenn...Don't you dare put anything on your eyes unless you talk to your doc.
There are a lot of different metro's out there.
I don't think Noritate is supposed to be used on the eyes. Noritate is for control of P&P's.
If you see an eye doc, they can give you a salve to put on your lids to help control blepharitis.
I don't want to see you do any damage to your eyes.
The lens of the eye is very thin.
I rememeber the time I got toothpaste in my eye while brushing my teeth and saw a flashing growing rainbow halo for hours.

Do not put it on your eyelash area -- like I said, I protect that area from with vaseline. Otherwise it will irritate my eyeball.
Talk to your doc for sure. But be assured that, while you should not get it in your eye, it's not going to feel like toothpaste.
