My flushing (I am new to all of this) is pretty predictable. Stress really does it. Fortunately, not horrible stress……but during/after watching an entire ballgame for my college’s team, I am red/hot all over my face. So warm to the touch. Saturday night was the worst. I don’t yell or anything. Just uptight/stressed/concentrating for 3.5 hours. My face was so warm. Feels good when it subsides.

During these times—is that when bumps form?

If you do a search under burning and flushing it will help alot. You say ballgame..what kind of ball? Football? If so, for some people cold weather triggers this and for some people heat triggers this, for some people it can be both. To calm your redness and help with some triggers I would recommend antihistamines, zyrtec, claritan, etc...This helps me with some redness and swelling I get.

Bumps can form but some people do not get bumps, like me.

Have you been diagnosed with Rosacea? Jenn

Yes, some people never get bumps.

I get pretty bad flushing at times, but never a bump on my cheeks. I get acne other places (back, neck, etc) but no bumps on my cheeks.

just mild rosacea, really. but I do flush.
no, I watched the game at home. haha.

I had wondered about taking claritin maybe. I have some allergies anyway. I had wondered if it might help swelling/redness. You can take a claritin every day, right?

Yes you can take it everyday, actually my Dr. wants me to take two at once. She said they do that all the time if needed. It also does help with the swelling.

I notice that flushing and burning for me is when I am inside with the indoor heat, that is the worse for me....Jenn
