thank you for yoyr quick and informative advice-i bought a sony top of the line hd--it was to be delivered and set up this tuesday the 18-one of the questions i had asked was about the fluorescent lamps they told me no fluorescent lamps .none--after reading your post i went back had them look it up and sure enough they are run by cold-cathode fluorescent lamps-the only one they had with the led backlighting was the samsung so i got that one instead-just led backlighting-which was about 400 more -but would last longer-whole package with set up as around 4300 dollars-i hope this will be better for me rosacea wise -the led is what the home red light therapy is made of-i dont know if that makes any difference or notthe tv is a 40 inch 1080p lcd thank you for your time =shamrock
