I've found prayer to be very helpful, especially with feeling peace when stressed out. The passage below is like a promise that I use to give me faith that a higher power will either heal or direct me towards treatments that work.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6

Im not Christian, but I do believe in the power of prayer. We call it different things, depending on out beliefs, but it is a still reconnecting to our source, whatever that means be for each of us. It is a powerful tool for healing I believe.

I'm not religious but I am very spiritual. I do believe in the healing power of prayer in whatever form that may take for the individual.

Studies show that people who have a belief in something spiritual be it g-d, a higher being, or just an abstract, heal faster and have an overall better quality of life.

Im with you there. I call my self a generic Pagan, because I believe what I believe. Native American spirutality plays a big part, and just me and my own thoughts about things. I JUST came back in the house, was having a smoke with my neighbor and her Pastor and another Minister stopped by, it was almost a Jehovas witness deal, they kept telling me the Glory of Jesus. I could debate for hours about religion, just wansn't in the mood, and I have nothing against Christians, thats just not me is all.
Connect to what you feel connected to, and be who your are. Pray in your own way, or dont pray at all, what ever works for you and gets you through life.

"Be anxious for nothing,

trust thyself on your own path and know for the highest good of all concerned will happen.

but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

whatever energies you set out comes back to you. trusting thyself and believing in self draws in energy to match your energies. same goes in destructriveness.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6

peace of self... for we each are our own god.... free will given by god..... and in control of our own boat, but everything has meaning and is respected.... we work our way up and sometimes fall down in order to learn more and always are loved regardless whether in peace or not... for there are no short cuts to heaven, so to speak..... jesus isn't to be worshipped... for he is a brother and comes from the same place as we all do... he just is an example and messenger of the light we all are.... no two ways about it.... in my opinion.

not to go on a "god" spree... just something came out in me.... lol... might have not said anything right either...

if not... oh well.

i hold respect to all and where they are in their lives.

After reading mostly posts about regular treatments, etc, one thing that seemed to be missing was the spiritual component. I'm glad to see so many different beliefs working for people!
