Now that the weather has hit 70 and my home is very stuffy-
as soon as I get home from work (like today) I had a major
flare. I had the ceiling fan on, another fan on peripherally and
had an ice pack to my cheek. I STILL got a flare. A/c is non-
operational (we are getting it replaced so it will be awhile)
As silly as it sounds, I am embarrassed to take out the
garbage as my face is SO bad- parts of it are swollen, red
and you name it.
How do y'all deal with coming home from work into a hot environment
even with fans? they don't do the trick- i'll have to add a couple of
more to the bunch. heck I don't have this problem when I'm working
out. there is something about that brisk walk home and entering
a stuffy room even with fans.
any insight/advice would be appreciated. i was never this bad before.

this happens to me too when the weather gets warm.
what i do is take a shower right when i come home, wash my face with lots of cold water and then turn on the a/c or the fan (depending how hot it is).
it always calms my face and take away the flush, and after some time i can usually turn off the a/c and stay with the fan alone.
Somehow showers always seem to 'reset' my flushes. maybe it's the humidity that helps it.

A cold pack on the back of the neck instead of the face can help too and cold water splashed on the face, or all over if your really hot, and standing in front of the fan helps too and doesn't cause the same problems that ice packs can (applying them for more than ten minutes can actaully cause more blood flow to the area and makes things worse).

It is possible too that the humidity in your house is too low, ideal is between 40-60% and for me when it's under that my skins much more reactive. So might be worth checking.

My current challenge is flushing in my sleep..not to sure what i'm going to do about that one! Maybe give up sleeping
