help posting my photo

Hi guys. I have my photos in adobe photosmart 3 but cannot paste a http website address. I cannot even copy and paste image as my paste button is not highlighted. Does anyone know how else I can do this or know what I am doing wrong..Thank you..Jenn

One of the first things you need to do is find out what type of file your image is. To do that all you have to do is right click on the image file and it will simply tell you the file type. Most of the common file types for images are JPEG, JIF, BMP and so on.

If the file type is one of these you can use websites such as http://imageshack.us/ to host the image. All you have to do is use the on screen instructions to post it onto this site.

I managed to post them from there.

I also use photobucket.
If your file type is not one on the above mentioned, you can change it in photoshop using the "export" function, not sure about photosmart, but most software I have used has this feature, usually located in the save and send part.
Photobucket is very easy to use, and doesn't take to long to install and get going with, you just save the pic to a folder (I keep mine on the desk top, I am terrible about forgetting where I store things on this comp) and use that to upload it to them.

Thanks guys I tried the imageshack and I got it up there and it is on my toolbar now..lol..but the picture is up, I am going to try to paste it under the post again but I dont think it is going to work...The imageshack shows my picture and then it gives you options of thumbnails and direct image for people but I tried to copy and paste and it does not highlight..Thank you..Jenn

I prefer photobucket. Upload your photo and then just copy and paste the bottom option (I think).
