I've been to 3 different Derms and they all don't know the slightest thing about Rosacea.

If anyone could, PLEASE help me find a derm around area code 45036!

Charcar,
I'm in Ohio yet farther north, in Cleveland, so I don't know if this would be helpful. I have also struggled with finding a derm and laser specialist that has a clue about this condition. I've gone to Trillium Creek in Medina. It's an holistic dermatology, skin care and integrative medicine center. I saw Dr. Helen Torok. She seemed to at least understand the physiology of this condition and they do have ipl there. She prescribed the regular topicals (which I didn't take) and said I would need many ipl treatments. Her husband does the treatments, yet not sure how skilled he is. There webiste is: http://www.trilliumcreekohio.com
I also went to the Cleveland Clinic and they told me laser is the only thing I can do (I have the erythematotelangiectatic form) yet the derm I went to was fairly new and she didn't seem very knowledgable.
I've contacted Dr. William Henke at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Indiana (which would be a drivable distance). He was lauded by Nase a few years ago and seems to have a pretty good reputation. Webiste is: http://www.cwmhanke.com
He emailed me back, he use to work at the Cleveland Clinic, and suggested I see Terri McGillis or Dr.Rebecca Tung at the Clinic.
I've also contaced Steve Johnson down in Tennessee for he seems to be very knowledgable about laster protocols for rosacea.
So, right now I've decided to hold off on laser untill the fall. I'm focusing on my body internally (using ayureveda methods, pitta-pacyfing diet, panchakarma, liver flushes, colonics, blood cleansing herbs). Hopefully this will relieve some of my severe flushing before I try the laser route. Then in the fall I probably will go see McGillis at the Clinic, Henke in Indiana, Johnson in Tennessee, and maybe go to Texas to get a consultation at the Institute, and then decide from there.
(p.s. I've even considered moving to Tacoma Washingon (45-75 degree climate range with overcast skies). Not sure about Cincinnati but this Ceveland climate is awful.)
