I recently purchased an all red LED lamp from acnelamp.com. I went to do my daily session after I got home from work, and what was supposed to be a 15 minute session, turned into 7 HOURS because I fell asleep with the lamp on and didn't wake up for seven hours. granted I tossed and turned and the light was not always directly hitting the same spot.
Does anyone have any idea what such prolonged exposure could do? Is it damaging in some way?

Iowa David fell asleep under his unit. You may want to PM him.
As far as I recall, there was no problem at all.
I have up to 3 sessions of 30 minutes per on some days.

Use the alarm/stopwatch on your mobile.

Hi
Both my lamps have timers and switch themselves off after the allocated time. Suppose you could always buy yourself a simple cheap mains timer and plug your lamp into it.
Thanks

Just to let everyone know--yes, I regularly fall asleep under my array. It only seems to help.
But, however, sometimes I wake up with horrible burns on my face that are akin to those associated with exposure to high levels of radioactive materials.
