I am probably 90% clear of flushing now but that last 10% is a pain in the arse. I am going to have a good read of the info on here but if anyone fancies giving a newbie red light person a few pointers then i'd be grateful.

ooh and while i'm at it, will the red light be good for acne? I keep getting spots on my forehead and i have heard blue light is good for acne, just wondered if it would be worth investing in one that i could change to blue light as and when.

Normally you do need to have blue and red for acne, the blue induces the production of chemicals in the bacteria which kills the little blighters, and the red has the anti inflammatory and healing, strengthening effect.
You can use both heads on the rosacea, as the blue will do nothing but the red will help, but you need to make sure you treat the acne area with the blue and the rosacea must have red, so the blue will be angled to the forehead, I am sure once you have the lamp you will work it out.

Hey thats not red light it is infrared?
Some people have used near infrared which is still red.
We have not seen any posts about infrared helping with rosacea, I would stick to red!

I would definitely stay away from that heat lamp. The Infrared unit shown there is thermal. It would set you back big time.

A Red or Near Infrared system isn't like a heat lamp. You may want to consider acnelamp.com, they've got combos which seem fit the bill for what you are looking for. You could get a blue and red combo. If you decide to get in touch with Ben, you always just order a blue head from acnelamp and swap out one of the red heads yourself. This way when your P+P clears you can put the red head back on.

Maybe the P+P from rosacea is different than the regular pimples from acne?
