I've had this condition since early teens,i'm now 29.The redness is consistantly there(dosn't come and go).I also have SD and see that
both rosacea and SD are closely related.Do you think i have rosacea?.

Do you have any other symptoms besides redness? Do you flush for extened periods? Do you over react to triggers like food, etc? Do you get any papules/pustules?

I see lots of people with red cheeks that I don't think have rosacea.

Hi Sarah,
Thanks for replying. No i don't have papules/pustules,and don't suffer from long periods of flushing as it were because the cheeks are permanantly red.Sometimes a quick change in temperature and i can feel my cheeks flushing/getting warmer, its just the consistant high colour that irritates me.I dont think im allergic to any foods concerning my red face but i know my Seb Derm is definately affected by what i put in my mouth(anything that contributes to yeast production). If i look really close at my cheeks i can see very fine capillary lines not like the ones you see on peoples noses but much finer.

Sarah,
Out of interest were you able to talk to Dr.Crouch about (Red Face Syndrome). Is there Anything that can be done about the condition e.g RLT.

I only asked a couple of questions this time as we ended up talking about other things.

The impression I got was that red face syndrome would not show up on the diagnoistic tool that he uses in the same way that rosacea would show up (which shows the underlying blood flow). My understanding is that red face syndrome would not react to the lasers/IPL in the same way as rosacea and therefore I took it from that that he doesn't treat it with lasers/IPL (or anything else). We didn't discuss any other form of treatment, sorry.

Do you have any KP bumps anywhere on your body? If so this could possibly be KPRF.
