Hey all!

Wondering about a few things....

Is it safe to use ZZcream with redlight therapy? I am presently sitting under a S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) lamp every morning - mimics the sunlight, and helps with seratonin levels. No bad facial reaction to lamp's use.

Redness is clearing up in a VERY pleasing manner with ZZcream use. Flushing is decreased, but still occurs. I have NO p&ps or subderm. Just mites, redness, a few visible veins, and flushing.

Which LED would you all recommend?

Can I get IPL while using the ZZcream and/or redlight therapy?

So pleased to hear about all of your successes!!

Gratefully, Millie

Hi Millie

As you might already know, I use ZZ ointment and red light therapy. I've had no problem using the two together.

I'm interested to know why you sit under a SAD lamp? From the reading I have done on them, it's about having the lamp on in the house, especially when it is winter, to mimic the feel good light from the sun...either being dawn light or day light. I'm not sure why you sit under the lamp?

I made two threads a 'Sticky' at the top of this area. Have a look through those Milliie, so that you can decide which sort of unit you might want to try.

As far as IPL when using ZZ...yes. I'm not an authority on this but it's a topical that has mostly natural ingredients, so no probs there. As far as red light therapy and IPL...yes. From what I understand, the red lights are a slower process of what IPL or laser will do. Anyone can correct me on this if I am wrong, but this is my understanding.

Honestly Millie, what I use is such low power, it's not going to do any damage. What I'm looking for is improvement over a long period of time.

Hope this helps.

Jen

Thanks, Jen!

I use the SAD lamp for seasonal depression. No sun for weeks on end is very hard for me - the lamp is like prozac for me! Speeds up and increases seratonin, and I feel better. Makes a world of difference in my mood and tolerance levels. (Esp with kids!!)

I'll scroll thru the stickies - thanks again!
