I have just ordered my all red from Acne Lamp so will keep you posted on progress.
I wonder about the fact that red light seems to have no impact on P&Ps (based on what i read and was told). Which is a shame since i have p&ps.
But based on what i just read in another thread, if RLT helps create new stronger vessels, or provides a stronger environment for these to 'live in', why doesn't RLT help P*Ps? Aren't these little buggers the result of weaker vessels? If these weaker vessels disappear or get stronger, shoulnd't the P&Ps decrease over time?
Anyone got a theory on this?
thanks,
eric

The explanation is very simple - you overestimate the effects of red light. Laser treatments can have obvious or sometimes subtle results depending on what king of treatment (like the infrared laser genesis protocol gives subtle results). The results of diode light treatmens are another degree of subtleness lower than the lasers.

As soon as my rosacea progressed to include p&p's, my questions evolved to challenge the effectiveness of treatments. After all, what's the point of the treatment plan if you can't get rid of them!
P&p's have become my daily drama. As sad as that may sound, I once thought "I can't live with this flushing!" Now, I think "gee, if I only had to deal with flushing!" But....I always end up with bigger and badder p&p's after I flush. They go hand in hand.
I suppose you could say that I sometimes put the "cart before the horse" with the focus of only trying to get rid of the bumps. But, I completely understand that I have to keep my body in a state of calm in order to eliminate what causes me to show that I have rosacea. The RLT seems to be a "horse before the cart" option that induces a state of calm. Whatever the scientific reasoning, it is a small piece to the puzzle that assists in rejuvenating whatever has been damaged and that which cannot regenerate itself. A bump has never appeared on me on it's own without a memorable flush to help it along!
In a nutshell, I believe that RLT does have an impact on p&p's because it is effective in the reduction of flushing episodes.

That has been my experience. I agree with that.

well, that's good to hear. I hadn't seen any reports or posts yet about a positive impact on P&Ps....

Yes, it is believed to inhibit the inflammatory cycle of rosacea. If flushing is the cause of papules and pustules (which I think is generally accepted), and flushing is caused by a runaway inflammatory response, then it only makes sense--cut off the flushing, and you cut off the acneform component.
