Ok I know, this and my last post have nothing to do with rosacea.
This is really stupid, but gotta love stupid sometimes to lighten the mood.
What song is stuck in your head right now. Not what your listning to, what wont get out of your brain. Me, sadly, I have the theme song from "Gilligans Island" No idea why, its just in there. :?

Great question skywolf!
I think it's good to talk about silly stuff sometimes to get our minds off the rosacea.

I have a song which i actually like stuck in my brain. it's "Neighborhood 3 (Power Out)" by the arcade fire.
(weird name. i know  )
However, a while ago i had "I don't feel like dancin'" by the scissors sisters stuck deeply in my mind for quite some time... maybe it had to do with the fact that it's one of my cell phone mp3 ringtones... :D

Now I have "Roxanne" by the Police. They have been talking about them a lot lately with their reunion coming up. It makes me laugh, I, way, WAY back in time, dated a guy who looked like Sting, and I got the nickname Roxanne. I though it was cool, being a metal head at the time and not listning to much of the Police, I didn't know they were singing about a prostitute!

Twickle purple,

That movie is interesting. Some people love it, some people hate. I never heard of any comments in between. I am one of the lovers. I recommend you to see it..

Sky- you were a metal head back in the day? Killer, so was I. Of course, my tastes have changed. I bet we have attended alot of the same shows. What time period are we talking about with you?

Oh gosh, Im gonna say from about 1980 on till, well, don't know! My very first concert was Black Sabbath (not with Ozzie, unfourtunatly) followed by Iron Maiden. I have also gone to see Judas Priest, and many others. To this day if a Metallica song comes on the radio I must stop and listen! lol. Old habits die hard I guess. :D

Thank you for your recommendation, francois. :D
I hope you are settling in well in Toronto.

Oops. Let me amend my post above. Iron Maiden didn't follow Black Sabbath in the same concert, 2 different shows. (Dont know if anyones hearing would be able to recover from that. lol)

I've seen Metallica 5 times all between 1989-1994. I play in a band in chicago. We play all the clubs. Still can't let go of my youth (although we are not a metal band). I'm a huge Maiden fan.

That is true. It snowed a lot last night. Weather is being felt like -30 most of the time which is something I am not used to. Hopefully I dont have to spend so much time outside.

Yeah. I am settled very well here. Almost finished half of the master program. I like it so far. Toronto is a good place to live in. Its like there are people from all over the world.

Hoping to see other parts of Canada towards summer.

LEt me know how you like the movie after you see it.

Cheers

Sky - Did you attend the Black and Blue concert on the "Island" back in '79 or '80?? - I used to work for JAM and did a ton of concerts in Chicago and around the area.

The Sabbath concert I went to was in 81, at Rosemont Horizon. No idea if it was the Black and Blue tour, as most of my brain cells from that era have long ago died. I saw Maiden at Chicago fest when Jane Bryne was mayor and threw one heck of a party.

OK - Blue Oyster Cult & Black Sabbath playing together was the Black & Blue Concert. - Good to see some rockers here - I always loved Nugent, he was fantastic to everyone and loved to hang out after the show and eat BBQwith us all.. a real down to earth guy.

Ok that was not the back and blue then, though I did see BOC at a different concert. I bet in your Nugent days he BBed up some venison! Love his music, the mad man.

My musical tastes now run the gamut. I can listen to Vivaldi as easy as I can listen to metal, Dylan. folk songs. Zepplin, the Doors, etc. its all good. Country music and me dont get along too well, and Im not an opera fan. but most music I enjoy.

THE MIRACLE OF TOILET PAPER

Body fresh from my shower, I stand in front of the mirror complaining to my husband that my breasts are too small. Instead of characteristically telling me it's not so, he uncharacteristically comes up with a suggestion. "If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a piece of toilet paper and rub it between them for a few seconds." Willing to try anything, I fetch a piece of toilet paper and stand in front of the mirror, rubbing it between my breasts. "How long will this take?" I asked. "They will grow larger over a period of years," my husband replies. I stopped. "Do you really think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between my breasts every day will make my breasts larger over the years ?"

Without missing a beat he says "Worked for your butt, didn't it?"

He's still alive, and with a great deal of therapy, he may even walk again, although he will probably continue to take his meals through a straw.

Stupid, stupid man.
