Hi,
I had VBeam (Candela- don't know any of the settings) 3 days ago. My first laser tx. Is it normal to still be very red? The swelling has gone down quite a bit but the redness has not decreased. Before tx my only symptom was flushing/ burning. No permanent redness.
Also, since the VBeam I have a constant low grade heat/burning sensation on my face. :(
Does anyone know if this will go away ie redness caused by VBeam and the heat sensation?
Any insight much appreciated.
Thanks,
Melissa

Sorry I just realized I am in wrong section and don't know how to move message. Can anyone move this to right section? Sorry everyone- I am still learning computers and navigating around the forum.

I had several V-Beam treatments and could use 3 more for areas not yet treated. Yes, I was quite tender afterwards. Things that helped were: topical application of a green tea serum: Topix Replenex Serum CF (available at skinstore.com) that is expensive, but worth it along with cold packs. You can purchase reusable ice packs made by Ace at most drugstores, large supermarkets, Target, etc. In lieu of that, keep some moist washcloths in a plastic bag in the freezer and apply them carefully (usually over a dry cloth) to your face. Topical Arnica helps too.
6 weeks post my last treatment, my face is much improved, though I still will get a flare if I don't follow diet, stress management techniques, avoidance of topical irritants, etc.
Best of healing to you!

Hi,
It's great that you're doing so well!

I had a 2nd laser tx since I posted that in Feb. (sorry this thread was left in the wrong section). I had a KTP 532 laser but I think I prefer the results of the Vbeam. In May I will have my 2nd Vbeam (and 3rd overall laser tx) and I will let you know if I get any good long lasting results.

Best of luck to you!
Melissa

Hi Sarah,

As this is an old thread I don't think it's necessary. Whatever you think is best is OK with me.
