and look terrible. I had two days of not having my usual healthy diet, I had a lot of pasta, cheese, red meat, sodium trans fat filled shop brought dishes and I look awful. Not just my rosacea but I just look really bad, the veins n my face are more prominent and I have circles beneath my eyes... It shows that even short term moderation (I didn't binge out on these foods) of bad foods is bad for my skin...

Hi Angelina
Yes, diet certainly does play a role in Rosacea. Glad to hear that you have found what helps.

Yeah, that can be a bit of problem, nwc. We get used to eating a certain way and it can be hard to make changes, without giving it more thought with the preparation. You might also like to check out 'no more red cheeks!' (Joanne's) thread on alkaline-acid diet. Joanne is very knowledgable and my understanding is that we can eat pretty much what we want to, if we keep the acid-alkaline balance in the right proprtions. Here's the thread:

It is a little different to the diet I started last year (currently lapsed) but certainly meritorious. Diet is not just about loosing weight but more a lifestyle change.
Best of luck with what you decide to try.
