Hey all,
I have been down with the flu for the past couple days and have spent the time on my couch, under a big giant blanket, watching movies. (aside from all the nastiness, yuck flu, yuck)
Just wondering what your favorite movies are. I am a "Matrix" chick, have all 3. second favorite, "Forrest Gump". Third, well its a bit of a toss up here between "A Beautiful Mind" and "Cast Away" (though I did just watch that latter one, and oh boy, when you are sick to your stomach already, that tooth knocking out with the ice scate scene takes a whole new dimention, on yipe, yes skywolf almost sky upchucked.) On that lovely note, I will go, and see what your all favorite movies are.

I bought "The Graduate" on dvd lately, which I think is absolutely great! Katherine Ross is probably the most beautiful actress ever in a film. I was too young to have seen the movie when it was shown at cinemas some thousand years ago.

Yes that movie is classic. Dustin Hoffman, a very young DH, was excellent in that as well.

Gloating is terribly unattractive!

I met a presenter from the local news programme the other day!

Get this: she is exactly the same size in real life as she is on the TV!

I like most films. I think you get less picky as you age. I watched the 80's romantic comedy, 'Mannequin' the other day.

I could not find fault :D

I can't possibly decide on a favorite movie. Too many options...depends on my mood...depends on the genre! How about the top 3 for each class?

Ok. So, if we are in Science fiction mode: The Matrix series, Star Wars (all of them) and Contact. (Omg...What about "Aliens" though?)
Fantasy: "Lord of the Rings", "X-Men", "Batman Returns".
Drama: "Dances With Wolves" (Skywolf always reminds me of this movie for some reason) The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile.
Action: The Godfather, Terminator, Gladiator.
Suspense: "The Exorcist", "Prophecy", "Silence of the Lambs."
Romance: (Sigh). "Love Story", "Gone with the Wind", "Far and Away".
Animated: Shrek, Aladdin, The Incredibles.

This is still too difficult. :(

Your right, the more movies that are mentioned in this thread the more I am saying to myself, "Oh, thats a good one too, should have that on the list!" :D

I really like "White" in the Three Colors trilogy.

"Red" does it for me - awesome film.

My favourites are among Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Carrie, The Exorcist, All about my mother, and... Dirty Dancing lol - a real mix!
