Red Light Therapy and Seb Derm

I am wondering if RLT helps with seb derm. Does anyone out there using the light therapy have seb derm?

this thread was hijacked. I am also interested in finding out if anyone has had good success with llt on their rosacea/seb derm combo...
i also have eczema and i am trying to find out if it makes sense at all to add blue light to the red light to help with the eczema or seb derm....

If you have an inflammatory skin disorder, RLT should theoretically help. I haven't heard of anyone using it for eczema or seb derm, but if the action of RLT on rosacea is rooted in its anti-inflammatory action, it only makes sense that it would be helpful for other inflammatory skin disorders.

Blue light only works for acne because it disrupts the life cycle of bacteria that exacerbate acne; red light is used in conjunction with blue for acne because of its anti-inflammatory action. At least, that's how I understand things.

I use it for atopic dermatitis (eczema) and it works very well, even on areas that the strong steroids can't calm. Except for pompholyx, it does not work on that. It's not a cure, it's a treatment just like ointments -- but much healthier. And it works when the ointments fail. It's not as convenient though and it takes time and commitment. It's worth it. For me.

thanks for your replies. After doing some research and contacting some of you, it seems that there is indeed no evidence that blue would add much benefit in the treatment of a rosacea/seb derm/eczema skin....i think i'll go for all red then....
