I was suppost to write this as an reply on my thread but I accidently pressed the wrong button. Oh well, not this is here. http://forum.rosaceagroup.org/viewtopic.php?t=3087 <- there is my thread where this was suppost to go.

Ok, lot has happened but the main thing which controls lot about my life has not changed at all :( But about one week forward (2.10.) and im going to do pretty big laseroperation. The laser we are going to use is CO2 laser (it is surgic laser). It is suppost to remove skintissue off of my nose. The total cost is 700 euros. In Finland it would cost 1300e + Anestecia (sleeping doctor) so total cost ~1500-1600e :S That is pretty lot for me, so I went to neightbour country to do the operation due the lower price (allthought I would be ready to take a loan and pay that Finland price if there wouldnt be that other change). In Finland the operation would happen in UltraPulse lasermachine, but what I've understood is that the working mechanism is same in CO2 laser also. To remove the skin. I've run on sveral doctors, calling, trying to find infomartion, waited, waited and waited some more. And afterall now the operation is in hands. Everything I've done, suggest that this is for me the best possible thing to get rid of this 'lifespoiler'. I've lost totally fate for all antibiots and bloodvessel remove lasers and doctors who keep telling "this will surely help you" (drummons swetting system is still one I believe could give me help). And what comes to the risks what this operation have, I know those and im ready to face them (permanent scarring, skin colour changes). Even with that scar my lifelevel is much better then now.

So IF this wont work, I think I really fall in total depression :(

I took the old photos off for a while, but I can put them back if you peoples want. But here is one picture (taken ~3 weeks after being bloodvessel removing laser - which didnt help as I in my previous message)

So why I write this? To update my situation AND to ask you: What is/are the things I should do after being in opearation, IF the phymatous part of my nose goes away for this. I mean now that it wouldnt come back. Im sure that the doctor will tell me the most important things I have to do after the operation, but im really sure that he doesnt know nothing about treating rosacea or phymatous nose. So please tell me what I should do that the sebum, and phymatous tissue wont come back? IF I get rid of this, which I really for all my heart hope that will happen.

So, the treatment was suppost to happen in 2.10. but then this happened. couple of days before my treatment, the called me and told that the CO2 lasermachine has broken. So now they have bought some new piece in that machine and I have to wait 2(!!) months OR even more to get there. This is unbelieveble... So now im thinking that I have a real good time to try that drummonds system. But anyhow, if anyone has been or know something about CO2 laser please let me know. Any piece of information helps me a lot.

That is a bit unfortunate. Hopefully you can sort out some other place to go or wait the two (or more!) months. Keep us updated as not many people on this forum have had C02 laser treatments for rhinophyma.
