Hallo,

I am happy to have found you, Iīve aready had some useful and important infos, and, somehow itīs nice to see that I am not the only one in the world who is always thinking about her skin..

I am 34 years old.
Until 2 years ago, I was very proud of my skin. Never had acne, I have always had a very white and clear skin.
I have always been using very good (if expensive means also good..) products, I have alwas tried not to go to much in the sun, I donīt drink..
Notwithstanding with that, now I have Rosacea.
I cannot really say I havenīt taken care, anyway, I am feeling guilty..there must be something wrong I have done!

My Rosacea is moderate, I have some red points on my cheecks. In some occasions, on all my face.
I am Italian and, for professional (and now personal, my husband is german) reasons I am living in Germany since 3 years.
Here the winter is very cold, maybe the long and cold winters have helped my rosace to come out. Maybe also the stress..itīs not easy to get used to a very different life style and have friends and family far away.

The first derm I have seen, told me I had an allergy and gave me cortisone. That worsen the situation, of course. Now I have another derm, he gave me a Metronizadol cream (0,4). My face is better, but I have the feeling I donīt have the thing under control, and that when I give up with the cream, it will be again like before..
maybe I still have to convince myself, that it will be a lifelong war..

Thank a lot for your nice help!
Ciao
Paola

Hi Paola

I had lovely skin with no acne or other blemishes until the age of 27. Then it all went wrong.

I lived in Honk Kong and Bermuda where it was hot and humid for most of the time.

I drank socially quite heavily during that period and was exposed to the sun. But I had been also throughout teenage years and early twenties.

My Rosacea started with a red face and then P and Ps all over.

Please check out my post under photos "My photos (there now)". I am now 37 so have had rosacea for 10 years and kept it under control with antibiotics. I am now trying diet and z cream.

I am thankful that I had 27 years of good skin and was able to meet and have relationships with some beautiful women before being struck down. I think I sined in a former life!.

We are both married which is good, imagine trying to find love with this disease!

You will find plenty of support on the forum. I have and I now have a more positive attitude even if the rosacea doesn't get any better.

regards and good luck.

Simon

Thanks for your words Simon,

I still hope my husband would have liked me also with this!
And I am sure that also your wife would have chosen you, independenly from Rosacea.

With all the support we can get here, I also think we can really find a solution for that! Some of you are so competent, already speaking like ..doctors!

thanks again,
Pao
